Married: Lucy & Chris
21:46
Meet the Johnstones.
Lucy and Chris got married on 31st July 2010, following in the footsteps of royalty, at the grand Windsor Guildhall. A wonderfully ornate and elegant building, Lucy's great grandfather also once presided as Mayor here. How proud he would have been to see the stunning bride she was.
The day started at the Royal Berkshire Ramada where I hung out with Lucy and her bridesmaids, Nina and Jude, whilst Lucy's makeup was immaculately applied by Nicky from Beauty Call. She was a real calming influence on the increasingly nervous bride, and also offered some excellent practical advice on where to suitably hold the bouquet (the girls will know what I mean!).
Cam in the meantime was off in search of the boys, who he eventually tracked down in a local watering hole.
I cannot even begin to do the Council Chamber justice. The chandliers and grand portraits dating back to Elizabeth I quite literally takes your breath away.
After the ceremony, the reception was held at the York Club in the grounds of Windsor Great Park. I loved the contrast of the formality of the Guildhall against the country charm of the York Club, and with the weather on our side, it gave us a good opportunity for some relaxed plein air portraits.
Thank you Lucy and Chris for allowing us to share in your Big day.
Marriage rocks.
Lovebirds: Hannah & Nick

Hannah and Nick are getting married THIS Friday! So we managed to grab an hour last week to get together and shoot a few pre-wedding snaps. After all, by the weekend, Hannah Johnson will be no more - she will be Mrs Liebmann!
Once again the weather was taunting us: am I, aren't I going to rain?
Once again we have the best couple to work with. Rain? No worries.
Once again I was wishing for a thunderstorm :)
As you can see, just from these shots alone, Hannah will be the most gorgeous bride. I've also been privy to some details about her dress, and let's just say: ooh la la, someone is going to look stunning! There is a real vintage and eclectic feel to the whole day, and we are so excited to capture it!

Hannah and Nick, thank you for trusting us with your Big day.
We cannot wait.
See you Friday!

Lovebirds: Stacey & Luke

Stacey and Luke are getting married later this month and I cannot begin to tell you how excited we are about the wedding. Suffice to say this is one fun loving couple and their big day will no doubt reflect this! Add to the mix the fact that they are ridiculously good looking - you are talking about a wedding photographers dream :)
Like most people though, being in front of a camera is not the easiest thing for them; and although activities on the day might distract them from the lenses in their midst, a pre-wedding shoot is a fun way of getting used to the camera - and us!
On the day itself, after a spate of glorious sunny days, dark clouds were looming on the horizon.
"How game are you and Luke about taking some rain soaked love shots?" I emailed Stacey.
"Rain soaked Love shots sounds like fun!!!" she fired back.
I know! Could they be any more perfect?
I was actually a little disappointed the storm didn't transpire after all, and instead we had the typically insipid and temperamental British weather, but Stacey and Luke lit up the camera regardless.
One of the things we really loved about the shoot with Stacey and Luke is what a laugh they have with each other. Real life childhood sweethearts (they got together on a school day trip when they were 15, and as Stacey says, "Luke was the hottest guy in school.") they are so comfortable and at ease with each other.
Stacey and Luke, thanks for spending a couple of hours with us last week, and we cannot wait to see you again on your big day :)

Love me tender,
Love me sweet,
Never let me go.
You have made my life complete,
And I love you so.
Love me tender,
Love me true,
All my dreams fulfilled.
For my darlin I love you,
And I always will.
Love me tender,
Love me long,
Take me to your heart.
For it's there that I belong,
And we'll never part.
Love me tender,
Love me dear,
Tell me you are mine.
I'll be yours through all the years,
Till the end of time.

Sneak Peek: Mr & Mrs Johnstone

This weekend we had the pleasure of photographing Lucy and Chris's grand, yet wonderfully informal, wedding in Windsor. Needless to say the bride was STUNNING and the wedding was a beautiful affair.
I am having so much fun post processing the images and can't wait to share more.
For now, this is it.
